Bio

The New Void are a Post-Punk/Darkwave duo formed by Don Hogle (vocals and guitars) and Gerald Schmidt (keyboards). The band draws its artistic influence from timeless New Romantic and Synth-Pop artists. They beat their own brand on the genre with pulsing synths and thunder claps from drum machines, as the guitars seer through foggy atmosphere. 

The New Void’s soundscape mixes beautiful, dance rhythms from New Wave with the abstract guitars and vocals of Post-Punk. Their songs are unpredictable, but still bring familiarity; they’re bright and blithe yet melancholy.

Originally from Cincinnati and formed in 2012, New Void has since worked with Producer, Michael Patterson (She Wants Revenge and Duran Duran) and has been featured in several publications and videos. Gothic Beauty Magazine has done a feature on the group and their music is used in soundtrack for The Daily Grind BMX team.
